Lifestyle company Miniso, which is based in China, has opened more than 20 new stores in the United States in recent months, including one at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills.
Miniso offers features a variety of household items such as mini-night lamps and imported scent diffsuers from France that use natural plant extracts to create a relaxing atmosphere.
The store also carries tableware, travelling storage bags, and health and beauty products like perfumes, lipsticks, and long-lasting moisturizing body spray.
Its lineup of fashion accessories includes bathroom slippers, eyeshades, and umbrellas. The store also carries digital products and food and beverages, including Miniso mineral water, meat, seafood, and puffed popcorn.
Michigan was just one of 10 states that Miniso has opened stores in for the first time. The others are Oregon, South Carolina, Arizona, Connecticut, Louisiana, Maine, Georgia, Indiana, and Oklahoma.
Miniso plans to further expand its footprint before year’s end by entering two new states: North Carolina, and New Hampshire. The locations continue Miniso’s trend of selecting major areas, such as shopping malls, business districts, transportation hubs, and community centers, as the company has been making efforts to enhance brand visibility and attract a diverse customer base.

As of June 2023, Miniso operates around 5,800 stores worldwide, with more than 2,200 stores located overseas.
In the U.S., Miniso has established a presence in over 20 states, with more than 40 stores in California alone. While the focus remains on the East and West coasts, the company plans to further expand into new regions.
