SmilePartners-USA in Madison Heights has acquired PEDIA, a provider of general dentistry and oral surgery services in Chicago that operates 14 locations.

In addition, SmilePartners announced the acquisition of other general and specialty dentistry services practices in the Detroit and Atlanta metropolitan areas, adding three locations to the company. Locations and company names of the Detroit and Atlanta locations were not disclosed.

Following the acquisitions, SmilePartners has 46 locations across markets in Michigan, Illinois, and Georgia.

SmilePartners was founded in 1982 and is a portfolio company of Silver Oak Services Partners in Illinois. Silver Oak was founded in 2005 and is a lower-middle-market private equity firm that focuses on consumer and health care service companies.
