The nation’s first Hissho Sushi and Craft Beer Bar will open on Friday, Feb. 7 in a Meijer store in Brighton. A red carpet-style event will be open to the public from 12 p.m.-1 p.m. and will include giveaways for the first 25 customers, a sample from the menu, and a chance to win free Hissho Sushi for a year.
North Carolina’s Hissho Sushi, the second-largest sushi franchise in the nation, will partner with Meijer and Michigan-based Bell’s Brewery to open the concept. The location will be inside the Meijer store at 8650 Grand River Ave. and offer a happy hour.
From store runs to scheduling reservations, shoppers will be able to grab fresh sushi at their convenience. Their 840-square foot space will have a team of 15, including experienced sushi chefs.

This Hissho Sushi and Craft Beer Bar allows us to go even further, providing one-of-a-kind experiences where shoppers can conveniently enjoy our products, enjoy a local craft beer, and get in their weekly grocery run.”
Hissho also will provide a breakfast menu and appetizers including Asian chicken wings and Boom Boom Shrimp, Dim Sum, and a variety of craft beer. For breakfast, customers have the option of choosing avocado toast, açai bowls, and smoothies made with real fruit.
Hours of operations are from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday.
