Co-working organizations Bamboo Detroit — with offices in Detroit and Royal Oak — and the Downtown Windsor Business Accelerator (The Accelerator) have formed a joint operating partnership, allowing members of each organization to have an international presence in the U.S. and Canada.

For $200 per month, the modern and flexible co-working spaces will offer a cross-border membership, providing companies with access to each organization’s office spaces, meeting rooms, mail address services, networks, programming, and events. The new monthly coworking option is available immediately.

“This is a unique and ideal partnership, as both organizations are truly dedicated to building our ecosystems and supporting entrepreneurs,” says Amanda Lewan, co-founder of Bamboo Detroit.  “Together, we aim to spur further innovation and collaboration across the border between our growing regions.”

In addition the 96,000 square feet of combined office space on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border, the new international memberships also include access to the co-working spaces’ extensive rolodexes of client company contacts, as well as entrepreneurial professional development programs including Bamboo’s Founders Hour and The Accelerator’s A2X Globalization, Entrepreneurial Roadmap, and Windsor-Detroit Women Accelerate programs.

“This partnership is the culmination of our shared dedication over the past decade towards building a vibrant cross-border entrepreneurial ecosystem,” says Arthur Barbut, CEO of The Accelerator. “Through this joint effort, we’re providing a one-of-a-kind opportunity for our client companies to exponentially increase their network and visibility.”

Companies interested in expanding their presence across the border are invited to join the two organizations at an upcoming virtual informational session on Tuesday, June 7 at 1 p.m. Registration is open here.
