Troy-based 365 Retail Markets, a provider of MicroMarket and point-of-sale technology, has added the 365 PicoMarket to its Connected Campus, a new versatile technology that can be used on a vending machine or cooler, according to the company.

The PicoMarket provides operators with two ways to bring convenience to their locations and their consumers, the PicoCooler and, later in 2020, the PicoVend.

The PicoCooler, which has an interactive touchscreen, connectivity, and payment versatility with the extra security of a built-in camera, now is available throughout the United States. Food operators now can place minimarkets in semi-public areas and reduce theft with its controlled access capability.

“PicoCooler will undoubtedly expand the addressable market of MicroMarket operators who have been waiting for a solution to make sense for their clients,” says Ryan McWhirter, vice president of product at 365 Retail Markets. “And as consumer/client preferences continue to shift toward fresh and healthy and away from vending, the demand for a flexible and affordable solution will only continue to grow from operators. We believe PicoCooler is that solution.”

By mid-2020, 365 Retail Markets says its vending machine technology, PicoVend, will be available to operators.
