MIDLAND — The Society of Automotive Analysts announced to Northwood University in September the availability of a new scholarship to benefit young men and women seeking a career in the automotive industry. The SAA Thought Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship program was announced at the SAA’s 2012 Summit held at Lear Corporation headquarters in Southfield. Lear Corporation was chosen to host the event in honor of SAA’s 25th anniversary and celebrate the resurgence of the domestic auto industry.

“It was an honor to accept this scholarship given the work accomplished by our alumni to make it happen. This is a unique opportunity we are excited to make available to our students and encourage them to take advantage of this scholarship,” said John Young, vice president of marketing, communications and public relations.

The SAA Thought Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship will be awarded annually to a student enrolled at Northwood University’s Michigan campus or the DeVos Graduate School of Management. This program seeks to support the future leadership that will drive innovation and growth within the reviving automotive industry.
