Ground Broken for Workforce Monument at Freedom Hill Amphitheater

Executives from the Freedom Hill Amphitheater, DTE Energy, and Macomb County broke ground today on a “Tribute to the American Workforce” monument to be located in the main concourse at the amphitheater. 

“This Tribute is our way to recognize the hardworking people of Macomb County, our region and honor their contributions,” says Tom Celani, CEO of Hillside LLC, the owner/management company the amphitheater. 

The monument, which will cost approximately $250,00, is going to be made of metal and stone with engraved blocks representing labor unions. St. Clair-based architecture firm, Infuz ltd. designed the tribute and the general manager with be Roncelli Inc. of Sterling Heights. The monument is positioned to be the focal point in the main concourse. 

The monument will be unveiled in Spring 2016.
