Eckhart Inc., a Warren-based Industry 4.0 advanced manufacturing solutions provider, has launched ShopSync, an enterprise resource planning manufacturing software for small businesses. The solution provides small-business owners with instant statuses for all active projects in their companies.

ShopSync will operate as a standalone business from Eckhart. The solution also shows current and historical costs, enhancing quote-to-purchase order win ratios. Project milestones are customizable and can be configured to match project timelines.

ShopSync helps manufacturing companies that design and build custom tooling. Every part detail can be tracked through each step of the manufacturing process in real-time, and the solution shows where each part is in the process and how many minutes it spent in each step. All facets of cost, which includes labor and materials, can also be captured. This offers more focused quoting and helps improve quote conversion, productivity, and margins.

“We believe the small business community is underserved by incumbents in the (enterprise resource planning) space who focus their attention on big corporations and work through distributor partners,” says Andy Storm, president and CEO. “In the United States, there are 30 million small businesses, and we see significant opportunity to help enhance the management of these companies using ShopSync.”

ShopSync has offices in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Minnesota. Eckhart’s Industry 4.0 technology includes autonomous guided vehicles, collaborative robotic systems, traditional robots, assembly line design and simulation, 3-D printing tool development and production, and ergonomic assembly tooling solutions.
