Yvette Temple was named vice president at Dittrich Furs, a Detroit business since 1893 and Detroit’s longest operating privately held family business. She makes company history as the first Black woman to hold the title.

Temple started with Dittrich Furs in 1993 as an office clerk. During her tenure, she’s worked in nearly every department from advertising to human resources. She also has experience in the showroom working with customers in sales and service.

“She is personable and friendly and knows how to take care of customers, who are the most important part of Dittrich Furs,” says Jason Dittrich, president of Dittrich. “She is someone everyone on the Dittrich team can always rely on and has earned the title of vice president.”

Temple takes over from Steve Danton who retired from the position after 31 years.
