SOUTHGATE — Yeo & Yeo, a Michigan-based full-service accounting firm, and Hungerford & Co. of Southgate have merged. The combined firm, which will operate under the Yeo & Yeo name, will extend Yeo & Yeo’s reach in the southeast Michigan region.
The merger will add approximately $2.4 million in revenue to Yeo & Yeo, which last year earned more than $30 million.
“We are excited to combine Yeo & Yeo and Hungerford & Co.— two well-established firms with a combined 155 years of personal service and with practice strengths that are highly complementary,” said Thomas Hollerback, president and CEO of Yeo & Yeo.
Hungerford & Co. has a solid reputation 65 years in the making and has built a significant practice providing accounting, audit, tax and consulting services to individuals and privately held businesses, as well as not-for-profits, schools and municipalities. “We welcome the team to our firm and look forward to leveraging their expertise to expand our offerings and manpower in southeast Michigan,” Hollerback said.
“We have always been proud of our strong client relationships, and we are pleased to have found a partner who shares the same values and commitment to delivering excellent client service,” said Michael Georges, managing principal of Hungerford & Co. Georges will continue as the managing principal. “Merging practices with Yeo & Yeo creates many opportunities. Our clients will benefit from expanded service offerings, collective depth of talent, and industry expertise as well as the global resources available through Yeo & Yeo’s affiliation with LEA Global.”
Initially, the Southgate office will remain at its location, 13305 Reeck Rd. Later in the year, Yeo & Yeo’s Southgate and Ann Arbor offices will combine and relocate to an expanded facility located in or near Ann Arbor. This will make the Ann Arbor office the firm’s second largest location with over 30 professionals. The firm will keep a satellite office in the current Southgate location for the convenience of clients in the Downriver area.
