To help address the growing issue of hunger in metro Detroit, four Whole Foods Market locations are holding a “Stuff the Truck” food drive on Saturday with all food collected to be distributed to Forgotten Harvest’s network of over 280 agencies in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.

Whole Foods Market stores participating include the downtown Detroit, Rochester Hills, Troy ,and West Bloomfield Township. From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, shoppers can pick up a Forgotten Harvest wish list which volunteers will be handing out at the store entrances. Shoppers can pick up listed items and donate them as they leave the store. Items include bags of potatoes and onions, canned goods, rice, pasta, and juice.

Whole Foods will have Halloween treat stations for the young children, who are encouraged to come in costume.

Forgotten Harvest is looking for volunteers to help at each of the locations. Those interested can sign up online: http://bit.ly/1X32WIB.
