SOUTHFIELD — Michelle Ray has been appointed social catering sales manager for The Westin Southfield and Executive Meeting Center.
In her new position Ray is responsible for booking and servicing social catering functions, including weddings, mitzvah’s, fundraising, and religious events. Ray joined The Westin Southfield in 2012 as an events coordinator and was promoted the next year to convention services manager. She was distinguished with the 2014 Third Quarter Award for outstanding sales and service achievements.
Prior to joining the Westin she served as a guest services intern at ResortQuest by Wyndham in Destin, Florida. Ray, of Troy, is a member of the National Association of Catering.
Ray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a hospitality services administration major from Central Michigan University.
