DETROIT — The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit has named Educardo Rodrigues and Jennifer Gratz to its managment team.
Rodrigues joined the Starwood team 10 years ago working for Westin, Sheraton and St. Regis. As director of rooms for the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit he will administer front office operations, service express, concierge and luggage services, housekeeping, and security departments. As a member of the hotel executive committee Rodrigues is also responsible for the rooms division profitability and guest satisfaction.
Prior to joining the Book Cadillac, Rodrigues served in front office and housekeeping management roles in Florida hotels and resorts including two Fort Lauderdale properties, Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel and Sheraton Yankee Trader. He also was a front desk associate at the Hollywood, Florida Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa.
For his service and leadership accomplishments he was chosen to serve on several pre-opening hotel and resort training programs for properties in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Texas, and Utah. Rodrigues is a resident of Commerce Township, and a graduate of business and international trade from Universidade Paulista, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Before joining the Book Cadillac sales and marketing department, Gratz was the top group sales manager at the Atheneum Suite Hotel in Detroit. She also served as assistant director for the 108-acre retirement community in Novi, Fox Run; nearly 400 employees reported to her. Under her leadership Fox Run achieved and maintained No. 1 ranking in both staff and resident satisfaction surveys from 2005 – 2009.
Gratz is a resident of Riverview and attended Washtenaw College. She is a member of the Michigan Society Association Executives
