TROY — The Walsh Institute will now offer a six-week Certified Treasury Professional exam course at the Troy campus, which begins on May 5. The course will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
The course is the only one of its kind in Michigan that uses the Association for Financial Professionals Treasury Learning System, which is designed to broaden corporate treasury management knowledge and skills and to quickly improve workplace effectiveness.
Students will be taught in a structured classroom environment by Stephen Sholty, CTP, assistant professor, Finance, at Walsh. Those students who do not pass the exam may take the class again at no charge.
“It’s a 360-degree educational experience,” said Sholty. You’re not just working online. Students have the benefit of a professional instructor and a certified learning system for an outcome that you just can’t get on your own.”
