TROY, Mich., Sept. 24, 2010 – Walsh College seeks family business owners from southern Oakland County or Macomb County to host family business owners visiting from the Middle East on Oct. 8. The local business owners will be asked to provide tours of their companies and take the visitors to lunch.
The Middle Eastern business owners are visiting the U.S. from Sept. 22 – Oct. 23 as part of their month-long trip to study business systems and dynamics in family-owned enterprises.
Local businesses/owners should sign up by Friday, Oct. 1 by contacting Jan Hubbard, director of the Walsh Institute Leadership Center: jhubbard@walshcollege.edu / (248) 823-1392.
“We believe the exchange of information will be illuminating for our local family businesses, as well as for our guests,” said Hubbard.
Delegates and hosts will meet at the Walsh Troy campus at 10 a.m. Following an introductory session, hosts will be asked to take the visitors to lunch and back to their offices before returning them to their hotel by 4 p.m. The delegates return to Walsh at 6 p.m. to participate in the Business 360 workshop on Problem Solving.
While spending most of their time in Toledo, Ohio, the representatives will also visit Columbus, Ohio, Lansing, Mich. and Chicago, Ill.
The delegation represents industries such as engineering consulting, retail, pharmaceutical technology, and computer sciences, from the countries of Jordan, Lebanon, and UAE.
