TROY — Barbara Yolles, United Shore’s chief strategy officer, has been honored as a “Woman of Achievement” at the recent Vista Maria’s 16th Annual Celebrating Women event.
One of three honorees, Yolles, of Birmingham, had the opportunity to speak to an audience of more than 450 people, including local business leaders and Vista Maria members, at The Henry, Autograph Collection in Dearborn.
Celebrating Women honors extraordinary women from our community and our girls for their outstanding courage and success in their treatment and educational programs. All proceeds benefit more than 1,000 abused and neglected children and families served by Vista Maria each year.
Vista Maria has been serving metro Detroit’s youth for 130 years. This non-profit organization out of Dearborn Heights prides itself on delivering care, support, treatment and education programs to young women, ages 10 to 24, that may be homeless, victims of sexual assault, abused or neglected.
The other honorees were Saunteel Jenkins, former city of Detroit councilwoman and CEO of The Heat and Warmth Fund; and Tara Coughlin, president of Malayka International Foundation.
