DEARBORN — ControlTec,  transportation diagnostic and safety data systems, and Verizon Wireless have partnered in order to provide state-of-the-art wireless vehicle data recorders designed by ControlTec to transmit real-time information on the Verizon Wireless network.

ControlTec recently received certification from the Federal Communications Commission for its vehicle data recorders. The certification allows ControlTec to partner with Verizon Wireless by utilizing the wireless carrier’s network for real-time data collection.

The ControlTec Qualifier product uses wireless vehicle data recorders to acquire reliable data from a test vehicle. ControlTec data analysis turns that raw data into actionable data allowing automotive original equipment manufacturers to solve problems and make accurate quality decisions before the vehicles go into production. The Verizon Wireless network gives ControlTec the ability to capture real-time data and contributes to vehicle data management and analytics solutions.

“The ability to take in real-time, raw data and to make it actionable in a quick and reliable way is critical as we work to provide product solutions to our customers,” said David Ploucha, president of ControlTec.”
