DETROIT — John Varvatos, Thursday evening, celebrated the opening of his new Detroit store with a specially designed black carpet party and live performance by Detroit native, Alice Cooper.
“For me, this is more than a store opening celebration,” Varvatos says. “It’s a kickoff celebration of things to come to the city of Detroit. The future is bright and it’s just the beginning.”
Many notable celebrities attended the event, including Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander; Kate Upton; Al Gardner, CEO of Chrysler brand, and Dan Gilbert — who along with Chrysler hosted the event.
“Tonight’s event celebrating the opening of the new John Varvatos store represented all the truly great qualities of Detroit coming together in one incredible evening,” Gardner says.
The new John Varvatos store is a 4,600 square foot two level store, located at 1500 Woodward Avenue. It is the brands first store in the Midwest.
