Varnum’s Shanna M. Kaminski Named to State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section Council

Shanna M. Kaminski has been named to the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section Council. It works to foster the highest quality of professionalism and practice in business law and enhance the legislative and regulatory environment for conducting business in Michigan.

Kaminski and other council members were elected at the Business Law Section: Annual Meeting and Council Meeting Teleconference that was held via Skype on Oct. 1. She will serve a three-year term overseeing the Business Law Section of the State Bar.

Kaminski is a member of Grand Rapids-based Varnum, a law firm that provides a broad range of legal services. She represents clients in a range of litigation, including bankruptcy-related litigation, defending individuals and businesses in adversary proceedings.

Kaminski specializes in business litigation and representing businesses and individuals in complex business disputes including shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract disputes, supply chain disputes, and business torts. She has tried matters in state and federal courts and also has arbitration experience.

Varnum serves as counsel to growing businesses and institutions throughout Michigan, the Midwest, and nationally. It has 180 attorneys across eight offices across the state as well as an office in Naples, Fla.
