Varnum, a Michigan law firm providing business and personal legal services with offices throughout the state, announced Gregory M. Wright has joined the firm’s corporate practice team as a partner and will be based in the firm’s Novi office.

Wright focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities compliance, joint ventures, and finance matters. He works with private equity firms, family offices, management groups, strategic investors, and shareholders in acquisitions and divestitures of assets and equity.

“We’re very pleased to add Greg to our corporate team,” says Ron DeWaard, chair at Varnum. “It speaks well of our standing in southeast Michigan when an attorney of Greg’s caliber joins from a larger market.”

Wright is one of a dozen attorneys who have joined Varnum’s southeast Michigan offices within the past year.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

“Greg is an outstanding attorney with unique experience in sophisticated areas of law,” says Rich Hewlett, who leads the firm’s Novi office. “He adds bench strength to our M&A, securities, and finance practices. We are very happy to welcome him to the partnership.”
