Varnum, a Michigan law firm providing personal and business legal services throughout the state, announced Alex Monahan has joined its corporate practice team and Jeffrey Zauberman has joined the banking and finance practice team and will operate from the firm’s Birmingham office.
Monahan’s transactional experience includes mergers and acquisitions, real estate purchases and sales, and financing deals including private equity investments. He has significant experience in the formation and development of companies and corporations. Monahan also has a background in bankruptcy reorganization and commercial litigation.
He received his law degree from Wayne State University Law School and attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate degree in international relations.
Zauberman is a senior transactional attorney representing borrowers and lenders in acquisition financing, construction lending, bridge lending, and refinancing matters. In addition, he advises clients on multifamily projects, hotels, shopping centers, and self-storage facilities in Michigan and other states. Zauberman also has significant experience in real estate development and secured lending.
Zauberman received his J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law and earned his bachelor’s degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Canada.
