Urban Science Expands Global Operations Team, Makes Personnel Moves in Europe

DETROIT – Urban Science, a $125 million automotive retail consulting firm based in Detroit, announced a series of personnel moves to support its expanding global operations. Pablo Tellería has been appointed managing director in Italy; Stéphane Renaudin is the new managing director in France; John Grieve is the first global account director for Volkswagen Group Europe; and Marco Caponera has been named to the new position of regional account director for FIAT – Chrysler Group in Europe.

Pablo Tellería

Tellería, 39, has been appointed managing director of Urban Science’s Italian operations and is based in the Rome office. He joined the firm in Germany in 2000 and subsequently worked in Spain as a senior consultant on the General Motors account. For the past four years, he has been responsible for managing all Spanish clients headquartered in Barcelona, including VW Group, Nissan and Honda. He graduated from Universidad de Navarra with a degree in industrial engineering, and earned his MBA from CEPADE UPM Business School.

Stéphane Renaudin                                                                                                                        

Renaudin, 39, has been named the new managing director of Urban Science’s operations in France and will be based in the Paris office. Renaudin has been with Urban Science since the Paris office opened in 2006, and he has more than 15 years of experience in the automotive industry. His prior industry experience includes working for Fiat France in the marketing aftersales department and for GM France in the network development department. He received his master’s degree in marketing from ISC Business School in Paris, and his bachelor’s degree in economic sciences and business management from University of Paris X.

John Grieve

Grieve, 49, has been named the global account director of Volkswagen Group Europe. He previously served as regional account director on the VW account and was responsible for developing solutions to help VW optimize its retail networks, increase sales, and optimize dealer financials and profitability. John joined Urban Science in 2006 via the firm’s acquisition of Webfair AG, where he served as vice president of sales. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Northumbria University in Newcastle, England.

Marco Caponera

Caponera, 47, has been named the regional account director for FIAT – Chrysler Group in Europe, a new position at Urban Science created to support the growing relationships and business with Fiat throughout Europe. Marco joined Urban Science in 1998 and established the Rome office a decade ago, where he led business growth in Italy while consistently maintaining one of the highest levels of customer satisfaction in Europe and the world. He previously worked at Experian as a senior consultant. Marco graduated from Rome University “La Sapienza” with a degree in statistics and economics.
