TROY — United Shore, an independent mortgage lender, has named Laura Lawson as its new of chief people officer.
Lawson will lead and work with all teams that are focused on the company’s more than 1,100 team members — including human resources, recruiting, training, client service, facilities, and events — while also maintaining leadership over marketing for United Wholesale Mortgage, United Shore’s wholesale division.
Lawson formed the company’s marketing team in 2011 and is a veteran of the creative marketing and production industry. Lawson has a diverse background that includes the Emmy Award winning Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Grammy Awards, and alternative series development for FOX Television. In addition, Lawson was recently named as one of Mortgage Professional America’s “Elite Women in Mortgage.”
