UHY Advisors Inc., a professional services firms, has named two metro Detroit accountants to serve on the firm’s national board of directors.
They are: Thomas Callan is a member of UHY Advisors’ national executive committee and the leader of the Farmington Hills office. He also heads the firm’s national construction practice. His expertise includes providing guidance on tax compliance issues, state and local tax planning, business valuations and litigation support.
Callan, of Bloomfield HIlls, was the former president of Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit, a nonprofit that provides support to individuals and their families living with cancer. He also aided in the formation of UHY Cares, the firm’s independent nonprofit organization, which he also serves as president. He is a licensed CPA in Michigan and Georgia.
Callan received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Walsh College.
Steven McCarty is a managing director of UHY Advisors MI Inc., partner of UHY LLP and leader of the firm’s national corporate finance practice. McCarty works on business transactions providing buy side and sell side advisory, due diligence, financial analysis, tax strategies, negotiations, valuations and financing.
McCarty, of Rochester, is a founding partner and board member of Alliance for PEO Electronic Compliance. He is a licensed CPA in Michigan and Florida, and Certified Management Accountant.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Walsh College.
