DETROIT — In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the UAW-Ford will offer no-cost mammogram screenings for three days to metro Detroit women.

Northland Radiology mobile mammogram unit will conduct screenings from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 20-22, in front of the UAW-Ford National Programs Center Building, 151 W. Jefferson Ave., in Detroit. Counselors will be on-site, providing details about the importance of regular screenings, early detection and offer resources to those who may be affected by breast cancer. “The UAW-Ford is proud to help address critical needs, such as breast cancer screenings, for our community and members,” said Jimmy Settles, UAW-Ford vice president. “Helping to bring awareness to, and provide funds for, important issues such as early breast cancer screening and detection is vital to our commitment to serve our community.”

Due to recent construction, please use the following driving instructions to access the building: Take Griswold South, and make a left turn onto the E. Jefferson Ave., which would normally be the service drive ramp. Then, pull into the UAW-Ford National Programs Center ramp or park on the street. NOTE: This is the only way to access the building if driving.
