FARMINGTON HILLS—TYE Detroit, the Detroit chapter of the global entrepreneurship organization, announced they will be launching its fifth annual season in September. Student applications to join the fall session will be accepted through Aug. 1 and the final selection will be announced by Aug. 21.
The nine-month long session exposes high-school students to a business-focused curriculum and a variety of mentors. Students that complete the course will participate in a regional business plan competition with a cash prize of $1,000. Winners will receive the chance to compete at the global finals against 19 other chapter-winning teams from around the world for a $10,000 prize.
Sessions meet Sundays at Detroit Country Day. detroit.tie.org/tye/tye-detroit/
