Turner Construction Names New Executive

DETROIT— John Czarnecki, AIA, LEED AP, DBIA, has joined Turner Construction Co. as a preconstruction executive. Czarnecki will work regionally in Michigan, Illinois, Indianapolis, and Eastern Canada.

Czarnecki’s career began in 1978 and he has held executive positions with Walsh, Skanska and Barton Malow. His expertise in health care, higher education, and commercial facilities has led to the successful completion of over $2 billion of construction for clients such as Beaumont Hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital, University of Florida, and the University of Michigan.

He holds both a masters and bachelor of architecture degrees from Lawrence Technological University and is a licensed architect in Michigan, Illinois, and South Carolina.  Czarnecki has also been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2009. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, Design Build Institute of America, and Michigan Society of Architects.

 Turner Construction has been building in Michigan since 1913. Current major projects include renovations and additions for Sinai Grace Hospital and Cobo Center in Detroit. The company has offices in Detroit, Troy, and Grand Rapids.
