Flagstar Bank, headquartered in Troy, has hired Mark Herron as the company’s chief brand officer.
In this role, he will be responsible for marketing strategies, sales, branding, technology transformation, data analytics, marketing automation, and change management. Additionally, he has oversight of client experience and internal communications.

Herron brings to Flagstar more than 25 years of success in leading organizations to improved performance through client satisfaction, strategic alliances, and product and operational innovation.
He most recently served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for People’s United Bank in Bridgeport, Conn., where he was responsible for marketing and digital initiatives and supported all commercial, retail and wealth lines of business.
