Tricia Ruby of Ruby and Associates in Bingham Farms Honored with Community Service Award

Tricia Ruby, president and CEO of Ruby and Associates in Bingham Farms, will be honored with a 2019 Community Service Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies during its upcoming ACEC Fall Conference on Oct. 15 in Chicago.

Since Ruby became CEO in 2011, Ruby and Associates has donated more than $450,000 to Detroit-area and national charities. She also compensated her staff for more than 750 hours of volunteer time outside of the office.

Ruby and her staff have sponsored and participated in Life Remodeled, a nonprofit organization that provides $5 million and more than 10,000 volunteers to beautify a Detroit neighborhood each year over six days of renovations, home repair, and repurposing.

Also in charge of company fundraising and community efforts, Ruby organizes a Wear Red Day in March, the Ruby Heart Walk, Pi Day, and in-office fundraising lunches. Ruby is also involved in the Judson Center, a nonprofit human services center helping children and families impacted by abuse, neglect, autism, developmental disabilities, and mental health challenges.

Ruby was in the 2017 Powered by Women class in DBusiness Magazine.
