GRAND RAPIDS — Martin Strueber, M.D., a cardiothoracic transplant surgeon and expert in transplant surgery and mechanical assist devices for the heart, has joined Spectrum Health’s Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids.
Strueber will help continue the development of the Richard DeVos Heart and Lung Transplant Program, which was established in 2010 and has completed over 50 heart and nearly 35 lung transplants.
Strueber earned his medical degree from Hannover Medical School in Hannover, Germany, completed his cardiac surgery residency at Christian Albrechts University in Kiel, Germany, and completed his cardiac surgery senior residency at Hannover Medical School.
