DETROIT— Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. has expanded its Midwest communications office by adding Rick Bourgoise to the public relations team. Bourgoise will play a key role in regional media relations efforts and Toyota, Lexus and Scion brand initiatives.
Bourgoise joins Toyota with nearly 20 years of public relations and media experience. For the past 15 years, he has supported a large number of automotive brands with the development and implementation of public relations and marketing strategies for traditional and social media. Prior to managing automotive supplier clients at a local integrated marketing communications firm over the past two years, Bourgoise was director of communications for Smart USA. He directed all national and local media relations and social media activities in the U.S. for the Smart car brand.
Bourgoise began his career as a producer at News/Talk WJR (760 AM) in Detroit. He has a BA in communications and an MBA in marketing, both from the University of Michigan’s Dearborn campus.
