Winning Futures, an organization that specializes in empowering high school students to succeed based in Warren, announced that Tim Mailley, vice president and global head of the Ford business unit at Yazaki North America, has been elected to the organizations board of directors.

“There’s very little that separates people, but circumstances and available resources can make a difference,” says Mailley. “I’m inspired by the opportunity to be part of an organization whose mission is to level the playing field through support, learning opportunities, and mentoring.”

Mailley began his career at Yazaki North America in 1991 and has climbed the corporate ladder ever since. He started with stints in purchasing, project management, and sales and is now the vice president and global head of Ford business unit.

He is responsible for the company’s Ford business and leading a team of 300 non-technical associates in spearheading cross-functional initiatives across departments to achieve business goals for bottom-line profits. He’s also involved in the community, serving as an assistant coach for several Northville-area youth sports teams.

“I’m very excited for Tim to join our team,” says Kris Marshall, president and CEO of Winning Futures. “His commitment to youth development combined with his expertise in strategic thinking and problem solving will make an immediate impact for our students.”
