AUBURN HILLS—The Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce, a progressive organization dedicated to serving the diverse needs of its members, is anticipating an extraordinary evening filled with palate-pleasing cuisine at its annual Taste of Auburn Hills.  Area businesses and community members are invited to network with 500-600 professionals while partaking in the epicurean delights of 20 local restaurants. The event will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 11 at one of the City’s most note-worthy venues, the Walter P. Chrysler Museum.

Chrysler Group, LLC is the lead sponsor for this year’s Taste of Auburn Hills. Oakland Community College’s Culinary Studies Institute is the presenting sponsor, and Delphi is the community outreach sponsor. The Taste is a fundraiser for the Auburn Hills Chamber, which donates a percentage of its proceeds to the Avondale School District’s Blessings in a Backpack program serving 400 families who need to supplement the nutritional needs of their elementary school children.

Auburn Hills Chamber Executive Director Denise Asker is especially looking forward to this year’s event, which appeals to food connoisseurs, automobile enthusiasts and jazz lovers.  “The Taste is designed for entertaining clients and employees,” explains Ms. Asker.  “Sponsors and area businesses can use this signature event as a unique backdrop for networking or a client appreciation opportunity.”

In addition to the vast array of local eateries being showcased at the Taste, this year’s festivities feature entertainment from SoundWave Music and Arts in Auburn Hills and Oakland University’s Jazz Band; craft beers and family vineyard wine selections; an ice carving demonstration; and Chrysler’s unique collection of antique, custom and concept vehicles.
