DETROIT — The Rattlesnake Club will compete in a thrilling hamburger grilling competition at the 2013 Detroit Burger Brawl from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 10 at Eastern Market.
The Rattlesnake Club Executive Chef Chris Franz and Chef Jeff Lanctot will serve their burger masterpieces to the public and a panel of judges. The event will also support one of the Rattlesnake Club’s charity partners, Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan.
Burger-enthusiasts can dive into legendary burgers from all 21 restaurant chefs for a suggested donation of $10 to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. The public can vote for their favorite burger on Facebook and win a seat at the judge’s panel for the final burger showdown.
Fox Sports’ Detroit Red Wings Announcer Ken Daniels will emcee the event. Beginning at 11 a.m., the public will taste competitors’ burgers and vote for their favorite on Facebook. At 1:30 p.m., the top eight restaurants will grill their burgers for the panel of judges. The final two will compete in a “grill-off” and the winner will go home as the Detroit’s 2013 Burger Brawl Winner.
