The Detroit Hispanic Development Corp. to Host Annual Dream Makers’ Gala

1518

DETROIT — The Detroit Hispanic Development Corp. is bringing together Hispanic traditions and the Detroit business community by hosting their 17th annual Dream Makers’ Gala.

The gala will be held on Oct. 30 at the Garden Theater in Midtown. Unique this year is the significance of the event’s date. October 30 is known as Angel’s Night in Detroit. The Detroit Hispanic Development Corp. has a long history with the creation, and implementation of an evening that combats violence and arson in the city.

This year’s theme of ‘Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Today’ honors this history, and the Detroit Hispanic Development Corp.’s dedication to youth leadership, and building stable neighborhoods.

As the Title and Continuing Education sponsor, General Motors Supplier Diversity, will be joined by other metro Detroit companies to show their continued support for the Dream Makers’ Gala. The gala has a fundraising goal of $200,000, and all funds raised from the event benefit youth and adults working to improve their lives and community
