Talmer Bank Names New Wealth Adviser

TROY — Talmer Bank and Trust, a subsidiary of Talmer Bancorp Inc. announced today that it has hired Mark W. Jannott, CTFA, as managing director and wealth adviser, effective immediately. Jannott will manage investment portfolios and provide investment advice to high net worth and private banking clients. Jannott joins Talmer with more than 25 years of financial services and wealth management experience.

As a certified trust & financial adviser, Jannott was formerly senior vice president and managing director of investment and estate planning for Greenleaf Trust, a Michigan chartered bank. He specialized in wealth management, estate administration and employee benefit plans. During his career, Jannott served at a senior management level for several financial organizations, including Northern Trust and ABN AMRO. He also authored and published several financial services articles.

As a resident of Michigan, he is actively involved in the community, serving on several local boards, including Detroit Public Television and the Detroit Symphony. Previously, he served on advisory boards and with local nonprofit organizations, including the Detroit Institute of Arts, Tannahill Estate Planning Council, Beaumont Hospital Visionary Circle of Legal and Financial Advisors and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. He also is a member of the Legal/Financial Network Group of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, the Financial & Estate Planning Council of Metropolitan Detroit and a current Sustaining Member of the Detroit Economic Club.
