The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) in Warren, has established a Hall of Fame and has inducted its first class of honorees.

Six former TACOM teammates were recently celebrated for their outstanding contributions to U.S. Army readiness during an induction ceremony at the Detroit Arsenal.

“To our inductees, the standard you’ve set, the example you’ve shown, will serve as a beacon for all who follow,” says Maj. Gen. Michael B. Lalor, TACOM’s commanding general. “This Hall of Fame isn’t just a celebration of past achievements; it’s an investment in our future. It’s a reminder that our excellence isn’t a destination. It’s a journey, and we’re going to keep driving on it.”

The members of the TACOM Hall of Fame Class of 2024 are:

Jeffrey Bohun, former Logistics Support Operations director for the TACOM Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC).

Jerry Figueroa, former deputy executive director of the ILSC.

Mark Frato, former supervisor of the Provisioning Process Center, who was honored posthumously.

Pamela Roberston, former director of Resource Management for Anniston Army Depot.

Timothy F. Tarczynski, former deputy chief of staff G-1, Human Capital.

Harry Veneri, former Clothing and Heraldry Product Support Integration Division director.

Lalor and Command Sgt. Maj. Kofie B. Primus hosted the outdoor ceremony at the arsenal’s Glancy Circle. Attendees included members of the TACOM community, former TACOM employees, community leaders, and representatives of regional and federal government.

The event concluded with the unveiling of inductees’ plaques inside the new TACOM Hall of Fame, located in the lobby of the main TACOM headquarters building.

In his remarks, Lalor said the day was an important moment in TACOM history. He described members of the TACOM Hall of Fame Class of 2024 as innovators, problem-solvers and patriots who represent the organization’s very best.

“TACOM is the heartbeat of the United States Army Soldier equipment and ground systems; It is the forge where innovation meets relentless dedication,” he says. “We collaborate every day with our partners to ensure that they have the edge they need to defend freedom, and win, around the globe.

It’s about the people who bring those systems to life. … We appreciate their ingenuity, the grit, the unwavering commitment to excellence that resides within everyone who serves in this organization, and it’s within those especially who we honor today.”

To be considered for induction, candidates must be a former Department of the Army Civilian or Soldier who, while assigned to TACOM, demonstrated the outstanding performance of duties that significantly enhanced the accomplishment of the TACOM mission, or performed an act of valor, gallantry or heroism involving personal hazard or danger and the voluntary risk of life.
