Logos Communications based in Canton Township has been honored for excellence in the field of communications by the Association for Women in Communications (AWC) as a part of its 2022 Clarion Awards competition.

Sue Voyles, owner and president of the company, has won 13 Clarion awards since its founding 23 years ago. This year the PR company garnered awards in the categories of Graphic Design-Logo for Mariella’s Custom Drapery and Public Relations Campaign for the 100th birthday of Dorothy Zehnder, matriarch of the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn.

Voyles also is being honored by AWC at its national conference. She was selected as the group’s Headliner Award winner a year ago, but due to the pandemic, will be recognized this year. This year’s conference will be from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, with Voyles receiving the award on Sept. 30.

A past AWC national board member and past president of the Detroit AWC chapter, Voyles is being recognized as a member who has consistently excelled in the communications industry. It is the top award for an AWC member, and recipients deliver a keynote speech at the conference.

“The national AWC Headliner award goes back to 1939, so I am very honored to be joining the ranks of outstanding communicators who undoubtedly blazed trails for women like me to excel in my chosen field,” says Voyles. “I am also grateful to the Logos team members who bring a vast level of experience to our clients.”
