ROYAL OAK — Carol Galle, president and CEO of Special D Events Inc., a full service corporate event management firm, has been inducted into the Hall of Fame as “2013 Best Meeting Professional” by Michigan Meetings + Events magazine. Galle was recognized amongst her peers at the magazine’s 8th Readers’ Choice Best Of Awards that was held at Fredrick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids.
Michigan Meetings + Events magazine’s editorial board, which is comprised of industry professionals, nominate individuals for Hall of Fame categories, including “Best Meeting Professional.” The board then votes internally to determine inductees.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by not only Michigan Meeting + Events magazine but my peers and industry suppliers as well,” Galle said. “I’m very proud to be a part of this events community and thrilled to have been chosen to receive this top accolade.”
In addition, the Royal Oak-based firm was a finalist in two other categories for Best Event Planning Company and Best Exhibit Trade Show Contractor. The Best Of Awards were created to recognize the top professionals and companies in the regional meetings and events industry. Winners are determined by readers; including meeting planners, event planners, and suppliers; through an online voting process.
