Katie Brennan has been named the first director of philanthropy for the Area Agency on Aging 1-B in Southfield.
In her position, Brennan will work to fill in funding gaps and further the agency’s mission to nurture and care for older adults in the region.
She has worked with nonprofits including Henry Ford Health System, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society to help them grow through strategic fundraising.
The Area Agency on Aging 1-B provides services including in-home care and Meals on Wheels to older adults and people with disabilities in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, and Washtenaw counties.
Brennan completed an undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and a law degree at Michigan State University College of Law.
