Livonia-based TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants, a family-owned restaurant group with a portfolio of casual and fast-casual dining restaurants throughout the state of Michigan, has named Jeff Pittel as director of beverage.
With more than 16 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Pittel started his career as a bartender at TGI Fridays, and worked his way up to a general manager role with the company. As director of beverage for Schostak, Pittel’s goal is to instill a “neighborhood bar culture” into the 65 Applebee’s throughout Michigan. In doing so, he will focus on four key areas, including facility and ambiance beverage manager knowledge and development, professional bartenders and marketing.
