Schostak Adds New Acquisitions Manager

Steve Black has joined Livonia-based Schostak Brothers & Co. as the firm’s acquisitions manager.

Black will source, analyze and acquire investment properties for the company’s portfolio, with a focus on growing its Supercenter Walmart shadow anchor footprint.

With more than 30 years of experience in a variety of roles, Black has experience with a range of property types, including land, office, industrial, retail, senior housing, and marinas. Previously, he led bank closing teams for FDIC. He also was as director of acquisitions for Phillips Edison & Co. where he sourced and acquired value add grocery anchored retail centers in the southeast United States. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Black earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State University, Long Beach.
