Salvation Army of Detroit Adds New Team Members

SOUTHFIELD — The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit has recently promoted a staff member, and added new members to its development department team at its divisional headquarters.

Christina Holman of Madison Heights, who has been part of the team since 2011 and previously served as direct marketing manager, is transitioning to a new role as director of integrated marketing and mail. In this role, she is responsible for all direct mail, telemarketing and e-commerce messaging, branding, and internet presence. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in elementary education from Greenville College in Illinois and a Master’s of Arts in curriculum and instruction from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.

Shannon Bomia of Flat Rock will join as divisional events and Christmas campaign coordinator. She is responsible for event coordination and management of the nonprofit’s annual Red Kettle fundraising campaign, working closely with individual Salvation Army corps community centers in reaching annual goals. Other responsibilities include solicitation of in-kind donations, securing bell-ringing locations, and community outreach. She has an associate’s degree in business administration from Henry Ford Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Davenport University.

Bradley Carter of Clawson has been appointed e-commerce brand specialist. He is responsible for all aspects of the nonprofit’s Internet initiatives and creative services including strategic planning, website management, and web and print publication production. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts in media communications from Asbury University in Kentucky.
