DETROIT — The SAE Foundation, an international organization for engineering professionals, will hold its 25th Anniversary Celebration on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Ford Field in Detroit.

The evening will begin with a sponsor reception followed by a general reception. During the receptions, attendees will have the chance to meet with students who participate in SAE International’s award-winning STEM education programs A World In Motion and the Collegiate Design Series.

One highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 2012 SAE Foundation Industry Leadership Award to Derrick M. Kuzak, Group Vice President, Global Product Development, Ford Motor Company. Kuzak was recently selected as a recipient of the 2010 National Academy of Engineering award, the highest and most prestigious award in the engineering community.

These individuals must have:

  • Proven accomplishments in their career
  • Shown promise and possess leadership ability
  • Received recognition from their employer or organization
