DETROIT — Sachse Construction, a Detroit-based commercial construction company, has hired Jay McKee as its vice president of commercial operations.
McKee will have responsibility for the firm’s overall operations including achieving business objectives, meeting customer commitments, and delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
With more than 20 years of experience, McKee returns to the Michigan market where he spent nearly 15 years. He was most recently with the Bird Construction Group of Toronto, Ontario as bid/project director where he was responsible for a number of major Public-Private Partnership design/build pursuits. Prior to that, McKee served in many roles with Turner Construction Co. including operations manager, pre-construction manager, senior project manager, project engineer, and field superintendent.
McKee is ASHE certified, a LEED AP, and a member of CoreNet Global. He earned a bachelor of applied science in civil engineering from the University of Toronto.
