FARMINGTON HILLS — Ruby+Associates Structural Engineers, a pioneer in the development of constructability of steel structures, has named Robert Stempien, a former Barton Malow Construction senior director and longtime veteran of the architecture and construction industries, as its newest vice president.

In this role, Stempien will support Ruby’s ongoing growth in the structural engineering industry by adding his business development, problem solving, and project development expertise.

“I’ve followed Ruby for many years and have always considered the firm to be the industry’s best kept secret. I have been well aware of the company’s reputation for consistently providing efficient and cost-effective solutions to complex engineering projects,” Stempien said. “Ruby has an excellent track record of delivering value added services that ultimately save clients time and money. In my new role, I look forward to exposing potential clients to Ruby’s unique approach and helping to accelerate our aggressive growth plans.”

“Robert understands the challenges our clients encounter during construction.  His diverse background and depth of experience will help us cultivate new business opportunities and ensure we are addressing those challenges throughout the relationship,” Tricia Huneke, Ruby+Associates’ president and CEO, said.
