Rubin Torrez, vice president of benefit advisory at Troy’s Kapnick Insurance Group, has become one of 400 individuals across the U.S. who holds the designation of Certified Pharmacy Benefit Specialist.
The certification is the only one accredited by a pharmacy school. Torrez uses holistic data to help employers determine which benefit programs are right for their organizations and employees. With his new expertise in prescription drug distribution, cost, and value, he will be able to better understand pharmacy benefit contracts to provide guidance and find savings for employers.
“Prescription costs continue to escalate, and pharmacy benefit management contracts are extremely complex,” says Steve Peck, partner and president of employee benefits at Kapnick. “With Rubin achieving this level of training and certification, we continue to place our clients in the most advantageous position.”
Kapnick, a privately held professional service firm, was founded in 1946. It provides guidance on business insurance, risk solutions, employee benefits, corporate wellness, and personal insurance to clients worldwide.
