1908

OAK PARK – Forgotten Harvest and Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room in Royal Oak are partnering for a night of food and wine to benefit Forgotten Harvest’s mission to feed the hungry in metro Detroit.

“We are fortunate that each year new partners, like Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room, join in our mission to relieve hunger in metro Detroit,” says Forgotten Harvest CEO Kirk Mayes. “We look forward to a great night that provides meals to families who need them.”

The “Five x Five” event will be held from 7-9 p.m. May 11 at Michigan By The Bottle, 29932 Woodward Ave. in Royal Oak. Each ticket will provide five meals to those in need; additionally, 10 percent of all take-home wine sales will benefit Forgotten Harvest.

Guests will enjoy their choice of five, two-ounce pours from a selection of over 40 Michigan wines, plus heavy appetizers prepared by Royal Oak-based 2 Unique Caterers & Event Planners. Additional wine pours are available for a nominal fee.

“Our focus here at Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room is all about local – local wine, local food and teaming up with local businesses and organizations – so we thought it very fitting to partner with Forgotten Harvest in its mission to help local families,” says Cortney Casey, co-owner of Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room. “The event will be a fun night out, and all of our guests can feel good knowing that they’re each helping provide five meals to metro Detroit residents in need.”

Tickets are available for $35 per person and can be purchased by calling 248-850-7175. For more information, visit forgottenharvest.org/events/detail.aspx?i=90.
