Several changes in leadership have been made at Roncelli Inc. in Sterling Heights. The construction company operates in the U.S. and Canada.

On Jan. 1, Gino Roncelli became the company’s new president and CEO. He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, Skip Roncelli, who founded the company in 1966, and his father Gary, who retired as CEO, but retains a position as chairman of the board.

“It’s a proud moment to see my son, Gino, a third generation of the family, take the helm as president and CEO of the company,” says Gary Roncelli. “He has truly grown up in this industry, and his passion for the business, commitment to the mission and culture of our brand and dedication to customer service, are a combination for certain success.”

As president and CEO, Roncelli is responsible for overseeing the firm’s internal operations, strengthening customer service relationships, maximizing the firm’s performance, driving company culture, and ensuring the firm achieves its financial goals.

Prior to his role as president, Roncelli, a licensed attorney, served as vice president of Roncelli Inc. Before that, he was principal and general counsel with the company.

Roncelli, who has more than a dozen years of construction services experience, is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School and the University of Michigan, where he earned a BBA degree in finance from the Ross School of Business.

In additional c-suite promotions, all part of a transition to the company’s next generation of leadership, James (Jim) Carnacchi, Paul Day, and Jereme Poxson, each have been promoted to new positions in the company. Carnacchi is now serving as vice president of estimating, Day is vice president of construction operations, and Poxson is vice president of healthcare.

“Jim, Paul and Jereme represent the best that our company, and our industry, have to offer,” says Gino Roncelli. “Their collective experience is unmatched, and individually they each bring to the table a unique set of talents and passions. In their new executive leadership roles, I know we can expect nothing but great things for Roncelli’s future.”

Carnacchi is responsible for Roncelli’s bidding strategies and achieving the firm’s yearly estimating goals. Additionally, he also oversees the firm’s trade partner network, relationships, and prospects. Carnacchi, who began his career with Roncelli in 1995 as a junior estimator, is a graduate in construction management from Ferris State University. He holds a Michigan builders license.

Day provides guidance and leadership to planning, schedule management and staff development. He also supports the firm’s overall project operations and performance, ensuring critical goals are met and client expectations are exceeded.

Day has 33 years of construction industry experience, nearly 30 of them spent with Roncelli, where he began as a project engineer. He earned a master’s degree in engineering management from Oakland University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University.

Poxson, is responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s healthcare market segment.  For more than a decade, Poxson, who joined Roncelli in 1998 as an estimator, has focused solely on healthcare construction and its unique complexities. Poxson graduated with a background in construction management from Western Michigan University
