Novi, Michigan – June 3, 2010 – TBON, LLC, owner and operator of the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Michigan, today announced the facility will be renamed effective on or before the 1st quarter of 2011. The exposition center has operated since its grand opening in 2005 as the Rock Financial Showplace under a naming rights agreement with Rock Financial, now Quicken Loans Inc., the country’s largest online lender, and one of the largest home loan lenders nationwide.
Blair Bowman, Manager of TBON, LLC, said it is unclear at this time what the new name will be for the facility. “We will consider several options over the next few months which could include a new commercial naming rights partnership, changing to a new non-commercial branded name or a return to the use of “Novi Expo Center”. Another alternative we’re considering is to ask the public to suggest a new name, which may be done in some form of a social marketing campaign utilizing sites such as Facebook and Twitter.”
Bill Emerson, CEO of Quicken Loans, said the Rock Financial Showplace has served the company well during its naming rights agreement. We have been proud to have our name associated with a state-of-the-art facility that has hosted thousands of family-friendly conferences, conventions and social events, and has been considered for major local, regional, national and even international events,” Emerson said.
“Quicken Loans/Rock Financial is a first-class organization and strong community partner,” Bowman said. “We have been proud to bear their name on this building.”
According to Bowman, the new name for the overall facility would not affect the continued branding of the banquet and conference portion of the facility, known as the “Diamond Center,” which is the 60,000 square foot state-of-the-art banquet, conference and meeting facility attached to the exposition halls.
